That 1 Place celebrated the opening of its first store in Rahim Yar Khan recently, the multi brand fashion house having a strong presence in Karachi had decided to venture out and bring top Pakistani designers to an untapped market. Located at 19-A Model Town, the store boasts beautiful formal and bridal wear from some of our favorite designers including Adnan Pardesey, Rizwan Beyg, Unbeatable, Libaas, Pink Tree Company and many more.
On discussing this decision with the brains behind the multi brand store, Bushra Wahid- a designer herself she claimed the reasoning behind opening up shop in this new location was “I knew people of Rahim Yar Khan love to shop, and they can’t always come to Karachi or Lahore to get the latest designs so I felt like it was a good idea to bring the brands to them. Shopping online is always an option but most women prefer seeing clothes in person before purchasing anything, that was an important aspect for me when considering opening up a multi brand store in a city that isn’t home to big design houses.”

We reached out to ace designer Rizwan Beyg and asked him what he’s expecting from the clientele in Rahim Yar Khan. The designer said ” Covid1-19 has caused a major shift in how consumers shop. The only businesses that hope to survive are the ones that adapt. Broadening a client base is always good and many successful brands have ventured into smaller cities with great success. We hope by opening up in smaller cities we can provide this experience and create a larger customer base for our products.”
Mohsin Sayeed of Pink Tree company felt that “We have to venture out to virgin territories. Rahim Yar Khan enjoys a unique geographical and economic position. Being a border town of Punjab, it covers upper Sindh as well as lower Punjab. Also, it’s an industrial town in the heartland of a thriving agricultural economy. This has given a strong spending power to the residents of the area. Then, fashion lovers of Rahim Yar Khan travel all the way up to Lahore to satisfy their urge to grab latest offers.
