“The stillness was very much required. I realize I was missing out on a lot of things like reading books. I had a habit of collecting them but never got around to reading them because of my 16 hour shoots. Apart from this, I have been watching the sunset everyday with my cats and taken up painting. It fuels me with such peace, and allows me to look within myself. Self care and being aware of your own thoughts is important during this difficult time. In case anyone out there is feeling low, there’s always online resources that help in lifting your spirits. And there’s always the excitement of picking up an old habit or trying a new hobby.”

“Cooking is something that’s always given me immense joy, but the busy schedule I had always left me with no time. This unexpected period has allowed me to break out my old cookbooks that were collecting dust and feel the taste of the world.”
Aneela Murtaza
I’ve forgotten how nice it is to just be still and in the moment. This time has allowed me to just relax and simply be. From watching shows on my own to family bonding, this time has been quite fruitful.

“My time in quarantine is all about time with my kids. From having an unbelievable work schedule to the kids having their own routine, this time at home has allowed all of us to truly have a break. We are trying to experiment and learn new things about each other such as our new found love for baking together. Even though kids can’t go out and play or have social interactions, I look at this time for a way for my son Rayyan to develop and have new hobbies. Today it’s baking. Tomorrow we’ll make our own fun!”
Ansab Jahangir
“I’ve discovered a new found love for cooking. Before I knew the basics, now I’m finding myself combing through different recipes belonging to different cuisines. The highlight is having the whole family around to cook food for.”
Sadaf Kanwal
“I’ve been keeping a light work out routine and taking on new hobbies. But the one part of the day I enjoy the most is when my sister and I get together and cook lunch. We have some fun and experiment by adding new things to the mix. Not only is my cooking game going strong, but it’s also nice to spend quality time with my family. This time has allowed me to just take a break from my hectic schedule and just live in the moment.”

“Quarantine has given me the time to be productive and throw myself into the things that I enjoy. From creating my own skin care masks to doing some self pampering like giving myself a mani pedi, this time has been something I truly value. It’s allowed me to give attention to one of the things I’m most passionate about – SKIN CARE.”
Roshanay Afridi
“This quarantine has allowed me and my family to bond, which I’m sure many people are saying at this time – but it’s been such a special and wholesome time. We are all taking a much needed break from our busy schedules, and our days start with playing with our dogs and cooking exotic dishes as well as catching up on some shows. Though we hope this unfortunate time passes, each day has been fulfilling because we’re creating new habits as a family.”
Zohra Alam
“This time of self isolation has allowed me to play different board games with my family. Our new habit is congregating in the late afternoon and enjoy chai and Snakes And Ladders among others!”
