The designer who made historical headwaves in the 90’s for her solo shows held in heritage sites such as the Hindu Gymkhana and City Station in Karachi. Shamaeel has always had an eye for art, and it’s been apparent in her collections that feature tapestries from ancient times, allowing all of us to look and feel different in the best way. From implementing a love for history through her clothes to pioneering the industry we know and love, Shamaeel Ansari’s name is clearly one that will be revered and remembered. And they’ve still got far more exciting projects lined up for us all!
In a look back, we explore Shamaeel’s decorated accomplishments through the archival clippings of various newspapers who lauded her ability to be a trend setter. Shamaeel Ansari was the first designer to introduce location shows with themes that shines beautifully through her collections.
