It was the perfect day to be amazed by the never ending beauty of bridals. We were serenaded by the shimmer and shine of sheesha work that maestro Shehla Chatoor incorporated in her new breathtakingly beautiful collection, Aks, that came alive to the public in her second consecutive solo show. People from all branches of the industry came to be dazzled by the wonderment and allure that came with each piece that graced the runway. It was a show that paid tribute to old school craftsmanship as well as a nod to Shehla Chatoor’s brand philosophy of providing pieces steeped in cultural charm.
The show was in collaboration with Shehla’s position as the ambassador of fashion for L’Oreal Paris. The official jewelry partners of the show were Ali Javeri Jewelers, headlined by sisters Hira and Shehrbano Javeri, who helped further accentuate the sparkle of each outfit with their traditional jewelry pieces. Models such as show stopper Fouzia Aman and Sadaf Kanwal adorned jewelry from Chottani’s that added the extra touch of old world, traditional beauty. Each bridal oozed glamor through its embroideries as well as embellishments of swarovski crystals, gota, marori, zardozi and of course mirror work. The menswear capsule was made for the dapper men who opt to exude sophistication through their choice of sherwani and waistcoat. Colors such as mint green, ivory, kashmiri tea pink and of course black with gold won hearts over, and it was quite clear the audience was spellbound by each piece. All in all, the night was beautiful and people tried to catch their breath. Shehla, this night was yours! Many congratulations!
