Yesterday marked the first day of FPW – an event that is docked down in every fashionistas, socialites, thespians and designers calendar. A time when the embers of spring are in our midst as models glide through the ramp for three days, showcasing the blood sweat and tears of a designer that has worked tirelessly to bring forth a blend of elegance and chicness. The first day started with a solo show featurig the dynamic duo who’s names remain synonymous with grandeur fashion and the wondrous charm of couture. The two captains who steered the growth of lawn fashion. The reigning queens of couture. Sana Safinaz ignited the first day with their breathtakingly beautiful collection of trendy silhouettes that held a plethora of colors to elegant bridals that left the audience gasping for more!
The collection was inspired by Iqbal’s Payaam-I-Mashriq poem which inspires one to evolve from their yesterday’s . The show began with a burst of vibrant colors and fine cut, trendy silhouettes that served us all up with retro vibes as the models carried quirky accessories and were given slick glasses to further accentuate the outfit. The middle of the show carried forth their intricate bridals, where each one was carried gently and gracefully, radiating the feminine touch. There were duo’s that graced the runway in order to showcase Sana Safinaz’s hand at menswear, which was carefully curated right down to the last detail. We witnessed playfulness within the cuts. We detected sophistication within the patterns. We were charmed with the juxtaposition of color and embellishments.
