Tena Durrani

An all time favorite; Tena Durrani started off the night with a collection that had us in awe- a dreamy range of bridal couture ensembles that had elements of modernity. The collection was aptly named ‘Rara Avis’- Tena brought to light a range woven together with lush shades of rich reds, maroons and tangerine highlighted with heavy embellishments, mirror work and gota to add a touch of old world charm to each piece. The designers deep red pomegranate hued look caught our eye at first glace; a bridal fit for a princess the look was trickled with mughal floral motifs in shades of mint, orange, gold and silver- paired with a floor sweeping lehnga this is one look we can’t wait to see off the runway on a real bride!

 Lajwanti

Rivaaj by Lajwanti brought out timeless traditional cuts and designs used in the pre-partition era. The stunning pieces evoked memories of bygone eras, with majestic traditional cuts calling on that time period through fabrics and colors including muted tones of gold, ice blue, beige, and mint green. From shimmery kaamdani lehngas with sequenced gold embroidery on pink hued kameezes to shades of blue front open shirts with low neck backs with gold tie bags and gold tassles, the collection had much to offer.
