After an extravagantly elaborate display by designers on day one, the glitz and glamour continued on the second and final day of Fashion Pakistan Week Spring/Summer 2018 where the remaining seven of 15 designers put forward their most thought provoking collections. Deepak Perwani, Saira Shakira, Rozina Munib, Boheme by Kanwal, Nauman Arfeen, Natasha Kamal and Ayesha Farook Hashwani showcased their fabulous array of ensembles on the runway- from statement colors to bold silhouettes and perfect for summer prints; each designer displayed their heart and soul on the runway! Deepak Perwani
This season Deepak Perwani changed things up with his “Black Is The New White” collection- a range inspire by the oriental rose and light, airy silhouettes. We couldn’t get enough of easy, breezy summer wear- featuring cool summer colors with gold cut-work making these looks ideal for beating the heat while at a summer soirree! The designers men’s line was all about solid colors with a splash of gold- structured sherwani’s, black koti’s and summer suits all made for a dapper range of looks that are at the top of our style hit list for the season!
Natasha Kamal
This season the designer showcased a playful take on linear patterns, worked with their infinite versatility through a series of different fabrications and techniques. Drawing reference from its asymmetrical imagery and effortless structure, the relaxed silhouettes embodied the fluidity of marbling itself. Adding a contemporary element to her art- Natasha Kamal ensured her outfits are actually wearable during Pakistan’s sweltering summer- sweeping lines and fluid silhouettes made for an easy choice for us when it comes to summer wear!
Rozina Muneeb
Rozina Munib sure knows how to add just the right amount of glamour to her collections- we witnessed a beautiful combination of 3D flowers, metal strips, glass beads, swarovski crystals, pearls, quills and sequins incorporated into her ensembles- ensuring any woman wearing these looks will feel like a goddess! From modern dresses to elegant cuts along with contemporary embroideries and a color palette infused with hues of nudes to peaches, black, shades of navy, and tones of purples, her outfits ranged from resort wear to alluring evening wear.
Saira Shakira
‘Winds of summer’ explored the opulence of summer couture with elaborate embroideries, lavishly sequined motifs, bedecked with stones, pearls, dori work and 3D embellishments. The pieces designed by the dynamic duo were flowy and gown-like that were traditional yet trendy with modern cuts and their signature designs, beautifully blended with fresh contemporary patterns and silhouettes. The color pallet used was a mix of pastels with rich jewels and printed florals that gave a fresh and new look- oozing with elegance and grace; the outfits were high fashion without trying too hard to fit in. Made in neutral tones we’ve already got our eyes and hearts set on a few of their showcased looks for the upcoming summer weddings!
