The Pakistan Fashion Design Council in collaboration with L’Oréal Paris, the world’s leading beauty brand, presented the 7th PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week, the seventh consistent year of the bridal couture platform. Prominent designers showcased their latest formal and bridal wear hence marking the trends of the season. Like every year these talented designers came up with new cool trends that we cannot wait to follow. Check these out below:
QUIRKY ACCESSORIES
No showcase is complete without accessories be it earrings, shoes or clutches. This year we saw some really interesting stuff such as bindis and traditional maatha patti by Shamsha Hashwani, tiaras by Ahmed Sultan, LED umbrellas and funky statement glasses by Ali Xeeshan and super creative face masks and head gears by Fahad Hussayn.
LUSTROUS LAMÈ
Shiny lamè is all the rage this season. This fabric adds an instant oomph to the outfit and makes it look even more prettier. Misha Lakhani, Saira Shakira, Jeem, Sadaf Fawad Khan and Saniya Maskatiya outdid themselves with their stunning lamè creations.
FEMININE SILHOUETTES
Everyones now bored of simple silhouettes and now wants to play around with the cuts and make them more versatile. We absolutely fell in love with how some of our favourite designers designed their outfits. Sadaf Fawad’s saari dress, Sana Safinaz’s ruffles and tulles, Saira Shakira’s cold shoulders, Jeem’s puff sleeves, Ali Xeeshan’s front open cape paired with a lehnga and Shamsha Hashwanis take on modern asymmetrical cuts.
FESTIVE COLOR PALETTE
Wedding season is around the corer and we cannot wait to wear festive outfits. Vibrant colour schemes have always been our favourite. Sania Maskatiya, Nomi Ansari, Sarah Rohale Asghar, IVY and Ali Xeeshan created beautiful vibrant outfits.
VELVET GALORE
