With great success and grandeur, Fashion Pakistan Week comes to an end. Rich fabrics, luxurious silhouettes, 3D embellishments and intricate details, every designer displayed a magnificent show from day 1 to day 3. Nabila’s super talented makeup squad, along with Jaipur and Co, Kiran fine jewellery and Ali Javeri jewellers made the show even more tasteful. Designers like Sana Safinaz, Tena Durrani, Adnan Pardesy, Maheen Khan and Nauman Arfeen showcased their stunning collections on Day 3. Yet again the red carpet was flooded with A-list socialites, celebrities and bloggers. It definitely was a star studded event and what an enchanting evening it was. Lets have a look at the top 3 designers on Fashion Pakistan day 3 who’s showcase left us in awe.
Maheen Khan
Maheen Khan’s collection ‘The Lion and the Muse’ was ferocious yet majestic. Long flowy bright crimson coats covered in sparkly embellishments paired with flowy pants, halter, sheer and striped tops along with those quirky dramatic gharara pants- all of these represented Maheen Khan’s signature style. Striking embroidered cuffs in super light materials, draped sleeves gave models a powerful wild look. All eyes were glued on this lamè gharara saari that we cannot wait to get our hands on. The collection was surely unique, menswear too was a mix of east meets west. We absolutely loved that red jacket on Hasnain Lehri, totally gave us prince charming feels. Her collection was an actual representation of the lion and the muse as the uniqueness was evident and appreciated by all.
Saira Shakira
‘A monsoon wedding’ by Saira Shakira was a formal/bridal collection that had a touch of signature designs, beautifully blended with fresh contemporary patterns and silhouettes. The designer chose a palette of pastels such as peachy tones, sky blue and nudes that gave us summery vibes. A mix of dark navy blue tones and mint outfits with one shoulder sleeve and off shoulder shirts,that made this collection versatile-wear in the summer or winter festive season. Rich regal jewellery by Jaipur and Co added glam to the outfits. Most of their ensembles had dexturous use of metallic tassels and coloured thread work with intricate mosaic borders. Saira Shakira worked their magic on the dupattas, we were totally crushing on the light pink floral embroidered dupatta with hints of green. Asymmetrical cuts and delicate tasselled pink shirts with pearls and worked raw silk pyjamas were the highlight of the evening. Sana Javed, the showstopper looked like a vision in a rust and blue ensemble that had impeccable details. The outfits gave an unconventional look to the collection and overall it was a spectacular show!
Tena Durrani
Tena Durrani’s Platinum series was a collection inspired by precious metals and gems and the dazzling reflective play of light. She used colours such as rose gold, champagne and platinum hues in metallic tones that every bride loves to wear. Artsy and intricate embroidery adorned on sheer fabrics, heavily embellished with Swarovski crystals and other precious reflective materials embedded in the finest techniques of thread work giving a dramatic yet refined glow to the entire collection. Attention to details-maroon and gold work and other combinations , finely embroidered hems of dupatta, gorgeous gleaming lehngas with dull gold embellishments and kamdaani, all her ensembles were charismatic. Her bridals had comprehensive work and the whole collection was bursting with glamour and prestige. Tena’s mind blowing bridals are definitely on every bride’s wish list right now.
