Blocked Textiles is back for Eid round 2, bigger and better! For Fall Creative Head Afsheen Nuair embraces calmer cooler hues; soft teals, cloudy greys, baby blues and all whites. This Eid stand out in minimalist ensembles from the Autumn collection consisting of iconic hand-block printed pret and unstitched pieces. Blending ancient craft with contemporary sensibilities, less is always more. Signature block printing of elephants, trotting cows, horsemen and florals and hand applique detailing add a rich essence to her collection. The designer incorporates soft flowing fabrics including cotton voile and Irish linen which are ideal for cooling you down during the hot summer months.
Blocked textiles is bringing back casual cotton saris and we couldn’t be happier. One of our favourites this season has to be the powder blue cotton voile saari with extensive kingri detailing, handcrafted by hardworking; skilled female artisans in Sindh, Hand block printed with elephants and embellished with silver and gold to add a little drama to this dressed up monsoon look- wear it to a day event with pearl studs and dewy makeup for an effortlessly chic look. A white kurta is always a wardrobe must have- have a look at the Irish linen kurta complete with ornate border inspired by Mughal architecture block printed in bold colours. The comfort of cotton and the colors and artisanal appeal of block prints is what is making this eid collection a hot favorite amongst many women. Undoubtedly the coolest block prints in town, their cuts are funky and they have something new to offer every time!
