Nida Azwer
Showcasing on both days of FPW, Nida Azwer was on a roll! She opened day 2 paying homage to traditional Sindhi crafts and it’s craftswomen with a mix of stunning traditional embroideries and hand work. The Khalahrai collection was all about classic silhouettes with contemporary twists across an eclectic range of intricately worked Ghararas, Saris, Dupattas and Ajkans on neutral tones of off white, beige and grey. The chic, chevron mirror worked azaar pants were especially a favorite with us and those delicately draped sari’s were absolutely gorgeous. Well done Nida, you were brilliant as always!
Amir Adnan
Amir Adnan gave everyday glam a new meaning this year- creating casual; easy to wear unisex looks that men and women can wear effortlessly! The show included mostly monochrome looks with a focus on waist coats, sleek silhouettes with occasional pops of print. We loved how he power dressed the ladies in suits, sherwanis and laid-back chic looks- redefining femininity! The talented designers ‘Everyday Aesthetics’ gets 100% in our books for breaking boundaries!
Amato
The Amato Couture Spring/Summer collection was a burst of magic on the ramp with an array of romantic gowns in pastel hues. The princess-like pieces were composed of delicate French lace, soft tulle with intricate flower embroidery and applique- telling a story of Romance, opulence and glamour. We were absolute fans of the beautifully composed embroideries on the bodice of each dress and the elegant yet eye catching silhouettes. Our favorite has got to be the tea pink floor length gown with 3 dimensional floral arrangements on net, complete with a matching belt- right out of a fairy tale! A round of applause for Amato!
