We absolutely loved the refined and innovative design aesthetic inclusive of lengha cholis, flares, gharara’s, high-low hemlines, cape styles. The monochromatic colour palette ranging from grey, golds, deep blues, sepia tones, pastels and black, boasted a luxe contemporary feel to the pieces. We couldn’t help but drool over the neat and eye catching details of skillfully placed pearl and 3D embellishments.So what did we love best about Mahgul’s bridal capsule? Its got to be the sumptuously adorned lowers ranging from cigarette pants to layered trousers. The design house has certainly grabbed our attention with their magnificent bridals with contemporary accents. Saira Rizwan
Saira Rizwan always keeps it simple, stylish and chic! Her bridal collection ‘Mademoiselle’ took inspiration from the vintage era, combined with modern elements. The stunning pieces were made from organza, nets and tissue in versatile cuts and silhouettes- ideal for the modern day woman! We loved the pretty hand thread embroideries and cut work, which added just the right amount of oomph; and the cleverly placed gem stones made for a sumptuous look! The colour palette of pastel pinks, silvers, gold and grey rendered a feminine and graceful visual appeal to the collection. At one airy and fairy-tale like with classically modern silhouettes to boot, Saira Rizwan once again strikes a uniquely dashing flavor to traditional bridal wear.
Shamsha Hashwani
Shamsha Hashwani’s debut was a true Mughal Mirage. The ramp was swept with elegant cuts and silhouettes and regal details. Shamsha was inspired by an Indian carpet in her parents home which depicted the intricacies of life in the Mughal dynastic period. Shamsha manages to capture the oppulence of the era in her bridals with a vast array of traditional hand work inclusive of zardozi, resham, applique work, French knots and bead embellishments. Sensously traditional silhouettes such as angharkas and gharara’s are amalgamated with modern flares and jackets. Elegant pastels, corals, peaches and pops of red thread together the various design elements in each ensemble to create beautifully finished master pieces. Hashwani takes the cake with her attention to detail and manages to rustle up a truly luxurious and dream like bridal collection!
Shiza Hassan
Trust Shiza Hassan to create the most luxurious bridals. The collection titled Aroos-e-Abrashami pays ode to the traditional craftsmanship and legacy of the Persian craft of carpet making. A mixed bag of tailored cuts including flares,sharara’s, jackets and lenghas- the range emanated a modern yet classic feel. We love how Shiza concentrated on creating stunning textures and beautiful hand embellishments with zardozi, swarovskis, embroidery, dabka and 3D hand work! The usage of nets, tissues and organza’s incorporated with beautiful digital prints added a rich yet chic element to the pieces. The conspicuous motifs on the bridals were certainly a stand out feature of the collection and a favorite with us! Deep hues of ruby red, purples and black were balanced out with turquoises and pretty pinks bringing fourth an elegant and opulent visual appeal. Shiza Hassan definitely impressed us with this one scoring high on extravagance and creativity!
