Generation makes a huge comeback with an extraordinary and refreshing concept- ‘A dot that went for a walk’, perfectly embodied in the free silhouettes and re-interpreted traditional cuts and forms! As the models paraded a series of redefined shalwars, jama’s and Kurta’s in basic cottons and voiles, they exuded a persona of fierce independence and pride. We loved the eclectic twist on the clothing with a sprinkling of either gota work, appliquéd florals or fringes. An intriguing colour palette of muddled greys, earthy pastels, hues of ivory and somber blue’s amplified the modern urban character of the range. A trend-setting collection with a truly unique design aesthetic!

Al Karam gets creative with lawn this season. They swept the ramp with a range of gorgeous digital prints, styled in a mix of contemporary and traditional silhouettes. Belted tops, flirty halter neck and off the shoulder shirts, jump suits and volumized skirts were the notable styles of the collection. The large colour wheel of bright hues and pretty pastels in combination with abstract florals emanated a subtle bohemian vibe. A traditionally feminine collection with eclectic accents, Al Karam digital lawn prints is the one to reach for, for cute summery additions to your wardrobe!

A definite head turning collection by Natasha Kamal took the crowd by storm. An upbeat vibe with the perfect twist of the 60’s; the models graced the runway in signature sunglasses, hooped earrings and bandana head wraps. Oozing the modern retro chic “Luxxotica” truly defined a Spring Summer outbreak. The collection entailed crops tops, flared pants, summer dresses accentuated with sleek belts and sarong flared pants that put us in a spring summer fix. The sultry fabrics of georgettes, chiffons, nets and silks dominated the collection in hues of jet black, olive green, ash grey, solid whites, pale pinks and a pop of tangerine that made an effortless impact. A strong contester on the ramps of FPW16, Natasha used the laser cutting technique and also showcased her signature appliqué on straight A lined Kameezes. Staying true to the NK ideology she also showcased her popular sequence and bead enthralled work on her crop tops and jackets and introduced the cut out peplum twist that added a new flair to the otherwise overdone trend. Playing on the less is more factor and keeping the focus on the clothes; the color coded bangles, beaded khussas and signature pumps complimented the collection with utmost ease making it a winner in our eyes.
