A prestigious brand that upholds high quality standards; Gul Ahmed introduced a festive collection “eclectic” on Day 2 of FPW16. The bright hues of yellow, orange, blue and green had everyone in a spring summer funk. The collection entailed front open patchwork jackets in Sindhi embroidery and mirror work, flared trousers in strikingly colors of pinks, oranges and royal blues and popular on the runway the dhoti shalwars too made a mark. Transporting us in a spring summer escape was a light blye off shoulder Kaftan on chunri and our eyes spotted the impeccable Chunri detailing on the necks and back of some of the airy Kurtas that graced the runway! A feast for the eyes; the collection also featured pom pom earrings and accessories that truly complimented the collection.

Known for his excellence in quality and design, Amir Adnan showcased a fresh and distinct collection of menswear inspired by street style and city boys. The dashing male models had a young and hip appeal- ready to take on the world, breaking traditional barriers in contemporary cuts and silhouettes. We love how Amir used an understated colour palette of blues, whites, browns and black in combination with well tailored fits, creating a modern classic look. The boys looked sharp on the ramp in smart kurta’s paired with a range of trending pant styles- our favorite being the straight cuffed trouser with a kurta and waist coat. Amir Adnan is definitely the go to designer if you want to get your swag on!

Opening Day 2 of FPW16 with a bang, Zaheer Abbas’s minimalistic collection titled basic was a breath of fresh air. Staying true to the Spring Summer theme the collection entailed pure cotton fabrics for those rising temperatures ahead of us in an all white color scheme. Layered silhouettes with belted accents ruled the runway and the basic white collared shirt was given a revamp with impeccable tailoring. Flowy buttoned down dresses, knee length three quarter cuffed kurtas, wide legged trousers, wrap skirts and knotted two pocket shorts celebrated the no fuss chic modern look. Raising the bar as always, Zaheer Abbas opted for tinted sunglasses, topknot hair do’s, wooden bead necklaces and jaw-dropping white wedges that perfectly amalgamated with the theme of the collection. Bringing a surprise factor to the collection Zaheer Abbas had model Rabiya Chaudhry walk the runway with a live rooster and to top of it had the beautiful Humaima Malick as his show-stopper twirling on the runway in a volumizing Zaheer Abbas summer dress that left everyone in awe.
