Shot outdoors in scenic Thailand, Maya models the lovely lawn prints with confidence and effortless flair! We love how Maria.B has used a wide color scheme of bright blues, pinks, yellow, greens and pristine whites, with a well coordinated colour arrangement on each piece, complimented by gorgeous geometrical and floral patterns. A mixed bag of classically elegant, funky and bold looks- Maria B. lawn offers a large selection to choose from according to individual tastes and quirks! This season, the designer steals the show with her concurrent usage of a wide variety of textured fabrics, accessories and techniques, all cleverly put together, adding a greater finesse and panache to traditionally simple lawn prints. Intricate floral embroideries and appliqué/cut-work on most shirt and pant hemlines create an ultra feminine visual appeal. We appreciate how the application of single-toned embroideries on print to match the base hues, balances out the colour schemas of the outfits – with either an embroidered or a digital painted chiffon dupatta to move in sync with the design aesthetic.
Large seasonal superimposed florals and chevron motifs on the shirts and dupattas add a sudden zing and eclectic charm when combined with classic textured looks –accents of cut-work, tulle dupattas and jacquard woven shirts. Our personal favorite is the choice of jacquard woven fabric in glossy pastel shades with glamorous Swarovski embellishments.
