Gracing the fashion runway and catching the eye of many was Karma Pink’s glamorous all blinged out collection entitled Studio 54. The collection lived up to it’s inspiration of the disco era and rocked out a gleaming collection of heavily embellished sequence on muted colours of whites, beige and blacks. Dominated by the 70’s flared pants heaped with beautiful sequence designs as well as floral work it introduced sexy off shoulder tops, short dresses in loose silhouettes and even a black ball gown studded with golden beads.

Studio 54 had an overall groovy look with the models donning light frame round shades and carrying discotheque inspired round ball clutches that would look great in our collection of statement bags. The upbeat music and the jaw dropping pieces had all the audience in a Studio 54 funk. Our favorite piece from the collection was the heavy sequence patch worked dress in an array of gold, black, copper and silver hues that added the party spunk to it. To top it off the stunning accessories by Prerto and were a true epitome of what the Studio 54 collection was all about.

The quintessential brand Mahgul made quite a bold entrance at the PSFW16 introducing its new line ORO titled The Indus Society debuting signature animal prints in beautiful animal anatomies. We saw larger than life grass hued butterflies in a structured cool sporty jacket that was sleevless on one end and long sleeved on the other. Talk about paving a new trend! We also saw some fierce lioness prints on the runway as crop tops, seamlessly tailored and finished on a regal black cape, manipulated as stripes on black track pants for that all sported out adventurous look and even adored as lion heads on white signature sneakers. Making a statement, this collection entailed more than just clothes and also debuted beautiful jewellery pieces from Zohra Rahman and a range of accessories that ranged from quirky bags in earthy tones with big butterfly motifs and snake print handles and clutches that matched the trimmings of the outfit to add that wow factor. An infusion of sporty and wild this adventurous animal print collection was jaw droppingly fearless and rocked the runway.

Unleashing the organza and raw silks, Nickie Nina’s Flechazo collection was inspired by everything feminine and the rich culture of Spanish Metadora. Red was the the reigning colour in the collection and was seen in various attires of sheer pants, dresses, capes and long jackets that rocked the runway. The bold color palette of the Flechazo collection also incorporated the likes of emerald green that was draped in various fabrics. Airy silhouettes and relaxed structures defined this ultra luxe collection and we also spotted an accessories game that was on point. The floral buttoned down cuffs and the sheer black legging with 3D embellishments of leaves in beaded pearls, flowers and embellished butterflies piqued our interest. Hairdos unveiled the signature theme of the collection by adorning red full bloomed roses in their hair bringing the inspiration full circle.
