Having given countless brides their dream look for their special day, the lovely and brilliant Natasha Khalid recently became a bride-to-be herself celebrating her own engagement earlier this month. While you’ve seen her work her magic a 1000 times over on many a blushing bride, we thought you might like to see what the makeup artist chose for her own special day. With a family as talented as Natasha’s she luckily did not not have to look far. Her Mom Hina was charged with the makeup while sister Sabrina styled her hair and for the ensemble, Aunt Mina Hasan stepped up to create a custom formal for the occasion. Here’s the full break down for each step of Natasha’s radiant glam look and the product list in case you’d like to try them yourself!
Clothes
I couldn’t have chosen anyone other than my amazing Khala Mina Hasan because not only do I feel she makes the most exquisite clothes , I also have a great comfort level with her , and she always gives me what I want, without the least amount of effort. We chose a light grey outfit with diamantes/swarovskis/silver work on net as I love that look at the moment.
Makeup:
My mom Hina did my makeup as she is the only one I trust when it comes to anyone touching my makeup. Here is what she had to say about the look she gave me!
Base: Natasha wanted a very soft look with soft pinks and silvers so here is what I used to prep/prime and finish her look. First I applied Glam Glow Exfoliate Treatment Masque on Natasha’s skin and removed it with a lukewarm face towel to create the perfect canvas to hold the makeup on top. This was followed by Clinique’s Clarifying Toner, followed by La Mer’s Gel Cream to Moisturize her skin. Then Becca ‘s Shimmering skin perfecter in Pearl was mixed with Giorgio Armani’s Maestro Foundation to create that flawless base.
Face: Cle de Peau conceal or was used under eyes, followed by Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow to contour and highlight her skin. NARS orgasm blush was applied on the apples of her cheeks with M.A.C’s Soft and Gentle on top for that soft luminous glow.
Eyes: Her eyebrows were shaped using Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade in Chocolate and on her eyes it was M.A.C’s Naked Lunch eyeshadow on the socket with M.A.C’s Texture and Sketch for the crease and M.A.C’s Ricepaper on the brow bone for the softest eyes. A thin line of M.A.C’s Dipdown fluid line eyeliner and her eyelashes were curled and L’Oreal’s Telescopic Mascara was applied (2 coats as Natasha did not want to wear fake eyelashes).
Lips: The look was finished with M.A.C’s Please me lipstick mixed with Illamasqua’s Climax lipstick to create the lip color followed by M.A.C’s lip gloss in Ample Pink on top.
Hair
My hair was done by my sister Sabrina ofcourse and because I wanted to leave my hair open, it was tonged in very big soft waves and was set cascading to frame my face. I kept half the hair on one side with the other half behind my back. I wanted a soft romantic look and that is just what Sabrina gave me.
