What’s not to love about Umaima Mustufa’s A/W lookbook? A sleek collection of modern minimalist separates finished with just the right tinge of glam, every ensemble in this series is a wardrobe do. Employing a very basic palette of strict neutral tones, there are few designers who can deliver an impact as powerful as the one seen below. Umaima may not be one of the most experienced designers around but she sure does possess a deep understanding of the power of silhouettes, crucial finishing touches and how to pull off the less is more look!
Of all the crisp details found in this collection, the little hardware details and impeccable tailoring is perhaps the most noteworthy. Each of the jackets that range from structured topcoats to draped capes and princess style overcoats are chic to the core. We cannot decide on favorites this time around however in our head an eventful day with many appointments goes something like this. Head out to lunch in the trendy color-blocked cape followed by an evening commitment in the sailor style open front asymmetrical upper to finally ending the night with the glam lace bird detailed wrap or the glorious perfectly draped appliquéd kaftan! Pearlized, sequin, embroidered, tasseled, printed and appliquéd options are also available and on that note take a look at this collection packed with all the trends you need to be on board with done right!
