Rizwan Beyg Tells Secret Closet What to Expect at his New Flagship Store!

Until recently Rizwan Beyg has always been this elusive mega talented designer who would appear at fashion week to enthrall us all and then just as quickly disappear into the realms of his own world. In the same low key manner, he has launched his own flagship store at Bukhari Commercial where Sania Maskatiya had her previous store, without any sort of hoopla or official opening. Nonetheless we are thrilled to finally be able to enter his space and pick from his stunning collections both off the rack and made to order.

The interior is simple and elegant. It has three floors divided according to collection genres. The ground floor carries extremely chic casuals as well as his latest ‘Pearlescent’ runway collection. The first floor is home to extremely beautiful and ethereal bridal wear. The basement is where all the magic happens from their hand embroideries to intricate artisan handwork and we got a peek at all of it!

Rizwan was kind enough to talk to us about the current range of smart casuals that we have been seeing all over instagram lately and which are part of his ready-to-wear range.

We’ve brought back the dupatta in a big way, we’ve used it in almost all our outfits. People have started to identify with what their mothers used to wear and what their grandmothers used to wear. As we all know vintage fashion is a very big trend nowadays ’ – Rizwan Beyg.

When talking about the outfits in the picture below he says “people have started to identify with what their mothers used to wear and what their grandmothers used to wear. As we all know vintage fashion is a very big trend nowadays” and so he’s bringing it back from where it all started!

PEARLESCENT COLLECTION

Rizwan’s latest runway collection is all about pearls and were in love.
It has short jackets, shirts and coats and is all hand embroidered.

A behind the scenes look at karigars creating exquisite handworked and embroidered one of a kind pieces.
