The Pakistan Fashion Design Council in collaboration with Sunsilk presented the third and final day of the eleventh PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week. The 11th PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week marked the eighteenth fashion week platform initiated by the Pakistan Fashion Design Council. The third and final day started with an afternoon voile/lawn grouped show featuring Khas, Rouge, Rang Rasiya and So Kamal. This was followed by luxury prét evening showcases featuring a grouped show by Fahad Hussayn and Mona Imran, a grouped show featuring Zonia Anwaar and Republic by Omar Farooq and a grand finale solo show featuring HSY. Fahad Hussayn
The designer showcased his Spring Summer collection titled ‘The Guilded Wastelands”. The collection featured Hussayn’s luxury novelty-couture editions and signature bespoke menswear alongside befitting range of shoes, belts and accessories. Comprising of intricate silk thread embroideries, interlaced with delicate hand work of exquisite craftsmanship on custom nets, organza, tissue, chiffon and other exclusive surfaces, the collection also featured exclusive one-off cuts, hues and designs with majestic detailing that combine the best elements from the world of art and architecture. Not necessarily wearable but definitely avant garde- Fahad Hussayn knows how to make a statement with his designs.
HSY
HSY showcased his latest Luxury Prét collection titled “Knight”. With ‘Knight’, HSY paid accolade to the powerful women not only in his own life but around the world too. Fashion with a message; the designer paid homage to all the women in his life and around the world saying they are their own knights in shining armor. The collection featured womens wear pieces draped in all black sleek silhouettes with delicate ornaments and bead work in signature HSY style. All motifs and accessories for the collection were made in Pakistan by team HSY using local materials and artisans. Chic cuts and bold designs are HSY’s forte and this collection was at the top of our hit list!
Republic by Omar Farooq
Cool and casual; Omar Farooq set the stage on fire with his mens wear collection- a breath of fresh air and a change from the usual suits and sherwani’s we’re used to seeing on the runway. The designer created looks that are trendy and made for risk takers; from his take on leisurewear to jackets and blazers Omar Farooq upped the ante during his showcase. The dapper looking gentlemen showed us how Omar’s looks are wearable yet avant-garde and this is something we can truly appreciate!
