The Hum Network’s QMobile Showcase featured some of Pakistan’s biggest and brightest designers showcasing their latest collections. Day 1 of the three day extravaganza started off with a bang with the likes of Faraz Manan, Momina Teli, Nomi Ansari and Wardha Saleem strutting their innovative collections down the runway! We’ve compiled a list of our top picks from the fashion filled evening; check out our favorites below!
Faraz Manan
Always one to wow; Faraz Manan blew us away with his Luxury Resort Couture collection ‘Mirage’- a stunning mix of shimmery metallic’s from glittering golds to sparkling silver; the designer fashioned one of a kind ensembles like we’ve never seen before. A dramatic collection with unique silhouettes and bold color statements- we absolutely adored his metallic multi colored gown featuring strips of golds descending into shades of grey to silver with an elegant boat neck and full length sleeves this ensemble was sheer elegance!
Momina Teli
Momina Teli’s collection titled “Iris” is a narrative on modern, wearable luxury. Keeping true to her signature style the designer fashioned an exquisite range of monochrome looks with pops of navy blues and neutral shades. We absolutely loved her use of layering silhouettes to create dramatic bold looks. From flowing kimonos and caftans to sleekly stitched maxi dresses- the designer created looks that are both couture and wearable! A breath of fresh air on the fashion scene; Momina embellished her looks with intricate beads, ribbons and three dimensional floral detailing!
Nomi Ansari
The Collection “A Night in Paradise” is the epitome of Nomi Ansari’s distinct signature style infused with the exuberant lushness of the Tropical Paradise. A collection highlighted with the designers use of bright fresh colors- we absolutely adored his take on summer fashion! From Fringes to the Plumes of Feathers the collection features icons associated with the Tropical Spring including exotic birds and lush leafy greens mixed with geometric prints to create an eclectic collection we couldn’t get enough of!
Wardha Saleem
Bringing a sense of whimsical folklore to the showcase- Wardha Saleem’s “MON AMOUR – BABUSHKA, MY LOVE!” is contemporary, chic and eye catching! Focusing on shades of blue with splashes of choral pinks and vibrant orange- Wardha Saleem created something completely new and unseen! With an eye for detail the designer took it upon herself to create a complete collection featuring her own brand of shoes, jewelry and bags! From adorning heels with mini babushka dolls to hand painting hand bags- the designer’s collection was a true treat!
