The sneak peaks of the Saira Shakira Ysatis collection had already left us entranced before the actual showcase at Day 3 of PSFW16. It had us yearning for more and the collection certainly piqued our interest and divulged unadulterated ultra feminine luxe. A relatively nouveau brand that has built its niche for their rampant embellishments outdid themselves once again on the ramp. Generous amounts of hand worked 3D floral details were seen on lavender boot cut pants, prominent in an airy off shoulder cape in hues of pretty, pinks, lavenders and yellows and heavily embellished on a lavender base skirt that was enthralled in black floral hand work sequenced and beaded detailing all over.
The collection thrived on 3D florals in geometric patterns set in flaunting cuts of belted tops, bare shoulder capes and dresses, peek-a-boo sleeves, flaunting midriffs and structured skirts in silk and sheer organza fabrics. The dominant hue of pink and black reigned the collection and there was a graceful touch of ice blue and lavender hues for that soft pastel feminine feel to the collection. Making us fall back in love with floral fashion, Saira Shakira promises a trend that is yet to last another season.

Steering clear from the pretty, Zara Shahjahan’s collection entailed an offbeat boho chic style. The runway entailed a nude color palette of pale pinks, muted greens and earthy browns in relaxed silhouettes of crop tops, high low oversize kurtas and airy long dresses in pure cotton linen fabrics. The collection resonated away from the bold prints, over embellished details and floral accents and delivered a powerful image in nude tones and edgy cuts.
Oversized slouchy cardigans belted for that accentuated soft structured look is what swayed us not to mention the ankle high neatly tapered pants that had a casual cool summer feel. The accessories were bang on trend; black shades, chunky statement gold bangles, slouchy hand bags all delivered the theme in an impactful way. Strutting the runway in flats and a simple man bun hair do, we loved the organic laid back style of the collection. Ending the collection on a signature note, Zara Shahjahan debuted her floral motifs on a half sleeves floor length flowy dress in an earthy tone hand embroidered to landscape nature’s finest birds, animals and trees in a hue of beautiful shades. A thoroughly enjoyed collection and ease to the eyes we can’t wait for what she has in store next.

The Day 3 finale of PSFW16 was nothing less than a bold statement. An ode to “Be Yourself” HSY’s Luxury Pret collection embraced individuality and freedom and the theme was expressed in a wild sort of frenzy throughout the collection. The vibrant colour schemes of bright yellows, indigo blues, fiery reds and peacock greens reigned the collection that was manifested in rich fabrics of mercerized cottons, chiffons, organzas and silks.
From the daring melodramatic prints, statement bomber jackets, game changing chunky accessories and gleaming golden hair streaks; the collection spoke ferocity. HSY’s “Be Yourself” collection entailed a menswear and womenswear line with the men amplifying the heat on the runway in safari suits and perfectly boot cut trousers that expressed HSY’s always polished look. A collection reflecting one’s own personality and designed to sell as separates, HSY’s SS’16 luxury prêt collection is winning at empowering individuals to set their own trends and fall out of the herd of blindly following trends.
