With their latest campaign celebrating one year of Shamsha Hashwani’s flagship store, the designer absolutely mesmerises us with her new collection. The beautiful faces of Fouzia Aman and Sadaf Kanwal perfectly epitomize the Parisian concept behind the campaign, of strength and beauty. Bejewelled motifs and prints add just the right amount of oomph to the slinky yet traditional Pakistani silhouettes. Her range encapsulates the modern “Patiala shalwar”, classic “shalwar”, “lengha choli” and “ghagra’s”, drawing on a large colour palette ranging from deep hues of maroon, orange, glittering gold and pristine whites.
We’re especially crushing on the shot of Sadaf and Fouzia standing, facing each other with Fouzia dressed in the deep maroon “lengha choli” which beautifully compliments Sadaf’s emerald green and gold outfit, the two women embody modern femininity with all its nuances, and are at once demure, elegant, glamorous, fearless and rebellious. The campaign captures various moments in the modern woman’s life: rituals and long ruling traditions of adornment and festivity, the elegant afternoon soirées, dressed in gorgeous and shimmery ensembles with exquisite Jewellery By Sherezad framing their soft faces. The crowning element of the new collection are the ultra luxurious and intricately embroidered single thread work woven shawls, languidly draped on the models shoulders and backs. A visual treat designed to scintillate the senses!
