As a living legend of the Pakistani fashion industry- one who has probably churned out more collections and campaigns than most other designers we know today, Deepak Perwani has certainly mellowed over the years going from his high fashion trendsetting craze to producing more beautiful and what he describes as wearable collections.
In his latest La vien Rose campaign, the designer presents an ultra feminine bridal collection. As the name suggests, each ensemble features romantic floral embroideries and embellishments in pretty pink, shocking red, cool ivory and striking orange. Experimenting with a wide variety of fabrics, we are simply loving the diversity presented in this collection that ranges from rich velvet and enchanting organza to pretty chiffon and traditional cotton net. What caught our eye the most is the mix and match of colors seen in each ensemble. While the handwork employed is uber elegant and classic, we appreciate the pop of color in each look whether it is the ivory peshwas paired with coral dupatta, silver grey choli and deep purple lehnga, baby pink lehnga with hot pink choli or net jacket with a shocking pink slip. After all we are talking about Deepak Perwani and while he may have mellowed down but that doesn’t mean his ensembles won’t make you stand out from the crowd.
