A style icon in her own right, and loved by fashionistas and the media alike for her honest and effortless style, Mashall Chaudhri tied the knot last weekend in Bunto Kazmi. If you were surprised to hear the designer’s name don’t worry you’re not alone. We certainly expected to see Mashall in a distinctly one of a kind ensemble that stood apart from all the rest, however it is not everyday that one sees the work of ultimate maestro of couture, Bunto Kazmi redefined. The couturier gave Mashall an extraordinary ghaghra choli derived from three beautifully contrasting separates.

If you needed any more proof to convince you of mix and match trending separates, this is it. Mashall’s choli was ivory with Bunto’s iconic rich gold handcrafted detailing while the ghaghra was equally modern in stark black velvet intricately carved with gold embellishments on the waist and bottom. Finally her dupatta in traditional red with swirling kaamdani mukesh and a shimmering border lifted and completed her vintage with a twist look.

The lehnga choli is bound to make increasing headway as the most popular bridal silhouette in 2014. Other trends to take away here are the timeless red and black killer combination and statement velvet with gold for the winter. Bridal makeup expert Natasha gave Mashall mystic smokey contemporary makeup and an asymmetric loose messy bun to balance her exotic polki jewelry and compliment the velvety sophistication. Wishing the beautiful bride and groom a lifetime of happiness together!
