We can only imagine how blessed Khadijah Shah’s sisters and now newly wed sister-in-law must feel to be related to the Elan designer. It’s probably a sort of pure surreal joy that only they can know but we can truly appreciate. Our heartiest congratulations to Khadijah who just celebrated her brother Jarrar’s wedding to the lovely Nida Bano who looked exquisite in her dusty peach and liquid gold Elan bridal lehnga for her special day.

Khadijah Shah is acclaimed for her taste in subtle pastel shaded bridals that rely more on the heavy gold or silver thread work and embellishments rather than the fabric colors. The entire ensemble is always an intricate web of complex detailing so that it flows holistically as opposed to a fragmented look, a quality that only a handful of designers can execute as well as she does.

The happy couple

While both of Khadijah’s sisters and the bride wore glorious Elan, Khadijah herself shined in Anju Modi and Mini Bindra for the occasion. It’s always fascinating to learn about the designers that your favorite designers admire, now you know! A common feature in all of Khadijah’s wedding ensembles created by the Indian designers was the lush gold, gota borders and traditional benarsi brocade, pairing it with heritage jewelry she was the classic groom’s sister.

A closeup of Khadijah Shah’s Mini Bindra ensemble, notice the stark contrast from her own Elan style that is usually along the shimmering pastels that her sister, Sana Shah is wearing in the feature pic, it’s nice to change up her look we feel and try new things. Thank you Khadijah for sharing the beautiful pics with us!
