The “Hello!” Hall of Fame Awards were held in the second half of December and the list of winners included Anushka Sharma as ‘Face of the Year’, Katrina Kaif for ‘Entertainer of the Year’ and Priyanka Chopra as ‘Versatile Performer of the Year’ among others. There was a lot of Dolce and leopard faux fur print spotted at the star studded red carpet. Both Katrina Kaif and Hrithik’s better half Suzanne Roshan wore the same spots in D&G however while Suzanne stuck with the classic version of the jungle print, Katrina opted for a softer look with flowing purple sheer layers.

Priyanka Chopra also in Dolce & Gabbana!

Priyanka Chopra also appeared in Dolce wearing a feminine, mermaid cut, strapless peach and cream lace number playing it elegant and pretty with minimal accessories. On the other hand Anushka Sharma pulled out all the stops with a glamorous gold sequin detailed Roberto Cavalli floor length gown that reminded us a lot of Antonio Berardi’s work. While we loved the antique embellished handcraft, the look fell apart slightly dude to the harsh makeup and dated hairdo plus the lack of accessories chosen by Anushka’s stylist who was probably having a bad day judging from the result! It made her look older rather than younger and Anushka usually always looks fresh and youthful.

Our Student of the Year, Alia Bhatt who we find tremendously adorable worked her black metallic embossed Cavalli gown very well from the smoky eyes and soft lips to the old Hollywood style waves placed over one shoulder. Madhuri Dixit also went all black however her Cinderella like Dior gown failed to impress as much. We like the top half much better than the bottom half.

We wish Sonali Bendre had also opted for a gown rather than this two tone Manish Malhotra Sari which doesn’t begin to do justice to her glamorous aura in the least. She should take a cue from Sridevi who appeared conservatively graceful in her Prabal Gurung white trailing gown with fully gold detailed net sleeves and an angelic side braid, however the yellow gold clutch was a bit over the top . Sridevi’s daughter is certainly a firecracker in a metallic emerald mini-skirt and she looks to us like a Sonam Kapoor in the making! What do you think?
