Fill-in-the-Blank: Award For The Most Fashionable Show on TV Goes To —————–

————— Gossip Girl! We are most upset that there are only a handful of episodes left before the show wraps up for good. Our grief is attributed less to the loss of the scandalous incestuous drama and abysmal parenting and more to the fact that we’ll be missing out on on our weekly dose of the best of “upper east side” fashion. The show is a virtual wishlist of the most decadently indulgent collections styled by a true artist, God bless him/her, and carried fabulously by Blair Waldorf and Serena Van der Woodsen (the “it” girls on the show). Let’s take a look at some of the stunnings pieces seen so far on the final season and match the wardrobe to the designers.

Serena in an effortlessly relaxed look wearing an ultra bohemian printed Juicy Couture maxi dress, black cloche hat, tan sandals, and a slouchy chain-strap Chanel bag; so perfectly girly with a side braid to finish her look.

Remember when we spoke about oxblood for fall in our last piece? Serena gives new meaning to the color with this combination of deep hues and layers. The geometrical Rag & Bone pants and striped two-tone Burberry satchel in wintery suede are a match made in heaven. An oversize eggplant Forte cardigan over a navy silk leapord cami, and suede asphalt Rupert Sanderson boots round out her Autumn look. We love love the jeweled statement chunky necklace.

Serena’s many looks in season 6, in the second pic from the left she opted for an embellished day time look wearing a metallic sequined tank, a floral Haute Hippie mini, and python Pour la Victoire pumps, while toting a sunny Phillip Lim satchel. Trick to glamming up a day look, keep the colors sunny even when adding sparkle, very nicely done

This brighter version of cobalt is sublime on Blake Lively wearing a Marc by Marc Jacobs dress color blocked with coral cutout sandals and statement earrings in the same color scheme softened with a printed Fendi shoulder-strap bag…breath of fresh air. We love the high low hem line and tie up belt accentuating the waist line at the front.

Serena plays it soft and breezy in an orange beaded Alice + Olivia top, sheer floral swooshing Haute Hippie maxi skirt, and turquoise embellished Christian Louboutin pumps. That touch of turquoise picked up from the skirt is a brilliant stroke.

Serena maximizes feminine grace in a white and yellow ombre Jenny Packham gown with lace accents. Don’t miss the statement necklaces in metal and polki.

We haven’t see this episode as yet but can’t wait after this image. Serena a goddess in gold wearing an exquisite Georges Chakra Couture gown with lonely boy.

Blair always the perfect lady in a blue beaded Elie Saab gown with drop earrings to match.

A powerful look for Serena in chocolate brown crocodile-embossed Walter Baker trench coat lifted with a colorful leopard Theodora and Callum infinite scarf.

Bvlgari Tote

Lily van der Woodsen always stuns us in the show with her one-of-a-kind statement jewelry, here she does it again wearing the richest emerald drop earrings to complement a turquoise printed Jonathan Saunders sheath dress and matching Bvlgari tote. Who do you think pulls off this dress better, the conservative form donned by the people’s princess of Kelly Rutherford?

Serena a vision in a strapless Lorick mini, yellow python Pour la Victoire pumps (visible in picture above), and a tricolor Oscar de la Renta bag.

Blair also picks up on the deep burgundy hue in an animal-print Valentino dress, gorgeous zebra Brian Atwood pumps, and a magenta crocodile clutch. The flower shaped earrings complete the outfit beautifully.

Blair goes equestrian in an olive jacket, brown leggings, and matching leather boots. The cloche hat is an adorable addition that sells the look and she completes it with an, orange and blue printed scarf, and crocodile Salvatore Ferragamo bag in oxblood!

Blair is a true modern day princess and we love it from her yellow tweed Dolce & Gabbana coat (first from left) and floral Lyn Devon dress to her fuchsia Rupert Sanderson pumps and embroidered Valentino rockstud bag (visible in feature pic). Blair loves bright, bold and sunny prints and this yellow bow-accent Gucci top (last from left) with a pleated floral skirt, chain-strap python bag, and signature head band is not for everyone but she pulls it off  flawlessly. The espadrille flats and flip flops are a bit of a shocker here from her regular designer pumps. She wears a Jason Wu micro printed rust dress (third from left) in a handkerchief silhouette with tear drop cut outs and a zig zag Bvlgari bag, not sure what to make of the flip flops, we’re sure it’s explained by the plot! We also see her in an ink blue multicolor Peter Pilotto silk dress (second from left) worn with an embellished-sleeve Louis Vuitton jacket (lovely touch), black t-strap pumps, and a chain-strap Bvlgari bag.

We are lusting after this exquisite Shourouk eagle necklace on Serena wearing a fuchsia Christian Dior minidress. The smoking high waist mini is definitely in style this fall.

Can’t wait to see what else is in store in the Gossip Girl closet, who’s your favourite style icon, Serena or Blair?
