One of the reasons we love going to the Sania Maskatiya store is because we know there will always be something new waiting to welcome us with open arms, tempting us until we cave! This Eid Sania has gone all out to embrace cultural flavours in her latest exclusive collection “Lokum”, taking its inspiration from rich Turkish art and architecture. The collection incorporates historic Islamic patterns with exotic Kufic and Nastaleeq calligraphy in luxury fabrics like crepe and opulent charmeuse silks in a fresh colour pallet ranging from turquoise, whites, peaches, pistachio, greys ,rust, orange and maroons.

Although the collection has its roots in tradition, Sania has given the pieces her signature modern spin, combining it with contemporary silhouettes, collars and cuffs, and adding an edgy finishing using block print borders. We love the dancing dervishes in shaded rust and this pistachio number complete with calligraphic script and remarkable Turkish art. The colors are truly underrated!

Once again Sania manages to stun us with her profound attention to detailing. Although Turkish cultural art has been used as a theme in the past, no one puts it together quite like her. We love the contrasting print on print and the cool flowing shades in this piece. Sania loves to add that little bit of extra love to her clothes like the running script border here that completes it.

The touches of  block print applique against the delicate pink are the style stroke in this ensemble. So simple, so elegant.

The price range of the Lokum collection is Rs 15000-Rs 22000 and it will be available at Sania Maskatiya’s Flagship store in Karachi and its stockists from the 10th of August 2012 so you can plan your weekend accordingly!
