The Vogue Beauty Awards held in Mumbai on 1st August were graced by several B-town beauties such as Deepika Padukone, Kajol, Nargis Fakhri, Dia Mirza and oodles more in their most glamorous of avatars. The glittering event was held in honour of the best beauty products and professionals across categories ranging from skin care, anti-ageing, make-up and more. Here’s the low down on who wore what, styles we loved and who could have done better!

Deepika who deservedly won the Beauty of the Year award modeled a sparkling gold and black Dolce & Gabbana skirted, strapless gown. We always like what she wears and she has certainly taken a bit of a risk with this blinding sequined skirt, not many could pull it off but we like it on her. With that figure she can afford to be edgy!

Kajol who was awarded the title of Timeless Beauty of the Year has never looked better! Is this the same woman who usually opts for her signature red spectacles and an Anarkali at award functions? She looks stunning from head to toe in this champagne strapless gown by Ayesha Depala elaborately embellished in antique. From the makeup and accessories to the hair, and even the nails you can see she has really made an effort and we certainly appreciate it! Maybe some higher heels would have added to the elegance of the dress.

Nargis Fakhri’s Roberto Cavali feathered print, layered gown was tricky but we’ve decided we love it! The print is uber exotic, we love the tribal feathered print and the shape works on her lean frame beautifully. We also adore the Anaika clutch, Nargis is always a star at rocking global silhouettes!

Dia Mirza who is usually right on the mark disappointed us slightly with this flounce French Connection number. The dress, lets face it, requires a slimmer waistline and generally the retro 6o’s style is just out. We do however love the new blunt bangs haircut!

Sonali Bendre looks chic and sophisticated in her Dior gown, a safe choice.

Diana Penti who recently made her debut in Cocktail also played it safe with a wrap, one shoulder Gucci dress. She has a great frame but we feel she should have a bit more fun with her choices.

Which look did you like the most, go on tell us don’t be shy!
