Bollywood Blast: Inside the Cocktail Closet
Although the movie maybe getting mixed reviews due to its regressive undertones hidden beneath layers of shiny hip post-millennium modernism it is a good watch. In case you haven’t seen it yet, we don’t want to give away the story line so lets get down to what really matters…the clothes! All the costumes were styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania. We love the way she has blended high street fashion with luxury designer wear. We see a lot of popular London high street labels such as Topshop, French Connection, All Saints, River Island, Pull & Bear and Zara, among others. Luxury brands include a patent pink bag from Chanel, sunglasses from Dior, Burberry trench coat and bag, and an Hermes scarf to name a few.

Some of the style trends that pop out are monochrome outfits, a lot of layering using belts over cardigans and deconstructed over sized t-shirts. We also love the crochet vests, Persian printed palazzos and vintage floral blazers along with the high waisted shorts and jumpsuits. The fun clothes and accessories and the colorful London and Capetown landscape make this romantic comedy worthwhile.
