Leading design label The House of Arsalan Iqbal is set to debut a bridal collection entitled "Blood and Gold", on the 29th of November 2013 in Lahore on the first day of the 7th Bridal Couture Week.

"Blood and Gold", comprises of Arsalan Iqbal's signature menswear pieces alongside a women'swear line.  The collection draws upon renowned author Anne Rice's celebration of gothic fiction, from the vampire archives and the lives of the Mayfair witches as its inspiration. 

Each bridal piece has been hand crafted using intricate embroidery and designed in a selection of silhouettes, created as heirlooms for years to come. The womens wear pieces specifically are based in hand-woven silks, silk organzas, lame and chiffons with a mix of Kundun Zari and Velvets with craftsman in the form of chikankari,zardozi, pitta, gara and crochet. 

Embellishments include mukesh, chikankari, resham,seed pearls, crystals and semi-precious stones such as Rubies, Emeralds, Jades,Sun Stars, Turquoises and Lapis Lazulis.  The menswear pieces in "Blood and Gold" pickup on the revival of dying embellishment techniques, which are being re-introduced within the menswear signature Arsalan Iqbal has come to know for. The menswear collection is set in huesof white, gold, green, blue, saffron and variations of the colour red.

Speaking about his showcase for the Bridal Couture Week, Arsalan Iqbal said "Every outfit is a strong statement for monotone bridal silhouettes and designs. What I've done with this collection is my best work to date!"
