Elan by Khadijah Shah Lawn Exhibition Karachi & Lahore

  1. Karachi, March 15, 2013: Élan lawn launch by Khadijah Shah in collaboration with Hussein Mills Limited was a tremendous success. Throngs of people purchased Élan lawn prints which shortly went out of stock.The inspiration for this collection comes from an array of sources both locally and internationally but the underlying influence remains a dominant use of bright bold colors and an abundance of intermixing patterns. The prints are based on floral, geometric, oriental, Turkic and Indian motifs making the collection abundantly versatile and offering something for everyone. “An exquisite fusion of nature and luxury, the fifteen prints comprises of Crown Jewels, Opium Indulgence, Spice Route, Belle de Jour, Bleu de chine, Shalimar, Princess Topkapi, Gypsy Love, Persian Dreams and more” said Khadijah Shah, Creative Director at Élan.

    The exhibition held at Palm, Emerald Marquee with an aura of a spring garden. There was a display of fifteen mannequins emblazoned in beautiful prints by Élan. The glamorous red carpet preceded the extravagant fashion presentation which featured top notch models such as Abeer, Areeba, Eqra, Maham, Mahi, Monica, Mubashira, Saba, Sana Khan, Sehrish, Sarah Khan and Sidra Sajid. The launch event was organized by Catwalk Productions and PR handled by Catalyst PR & Marketing. The alluring evening was attended by top notch designers, fashionistas, and celebrities such as Shehla Chatoor, Mahin Hussain, Sherezad Rahimtoola, Zahir Rahimtoola, Ayesha Umer, Nadir Feroz, Maha Burney, Zurain Imam, Sanam Chaudhri, Umair Tabani, Mohsin Feroz & Ayla Raza.

    [Lahore: 14 March 2013] The exhibition was attended by a diversity of personalities including Mian Hussain Ahmed Fazal, Director Hussain Mills Limited, models Cybil, Nadia Ali, Zara Peerzada and Nooray Bhatti who were all sporting Élan Lawn ensembles. The event was managed by J&S Events with Public Relations by Lotus.

    On the launch of Élan Lawn S/S 2013, Fashion Designer Khadijah Shah has said, “Last year’s debut into lawn was fantastic for Élan. It was 2012’s sell out response that prompted us to go bigger this year with a new textile collaborator, more prints and diversity.” Following Lahore, the collection will be exhibited on the 16th and 17th March at The Ramada in Multan. Post exhibitions the prints will become available nationwide at all leading stores and at the PFDC store in New Delhi. Élan Lawn will also be available at various retailers across Pakistan, India, UAE, UK and Saudia Arabia.
