Arsalan Iqbal has come a long way since he first began experimenting with menswear design from his makeshift apartment workshop after graduating from the Oxford Brookes University London in 2006. After the greatly successful run of 'Arsalan & Yahseer', the designer has gone from strength to strength to found his own eponymous label; The House of Arsalan Iqbal in 2013 that includes a brand new womens wear pret line.
Expanding the new brand’s outreach, the House of Arsalan Iqbal recently introduced a new women’s wear line, designed by Creative Director, Fayez Ahmed Agariah. Acclaimed fashion journalist Zurain Imam has also joined the team and spearheads the label’s PR, marketing and fashion styling departments whilst acting as a special liaison for international projects.
The underlying design philosophy of the House of Arsalan Iqbal is to redefine the womens wear and menswear traditions through an interpretation of that which is wearable yet trendy, relaxed but bold and always in sync with contemporary life and trends. Arsalan Iqbal endeavours to make every day Eastern menswear vibrant and eclectic – a commitment he continues to channel through his new label. To this end, the designer launched the now acclaimed collection 'Rangeen' which was based in hand painted and block printed traditional Eastern wear for men. As part of his former label, he introduced the “Coloresqué” collection at Fashion Pakistan Week in Karachi and then showcased their “Modern Sindh” collection at the Islamabad Fashion Week. The brand further showcased their “Urban Slick” collection at Fashion Pakistan Week 4 and “Spectular Blanc” at Fashion Pakistan Week 5 which was lauded by audiences for its beautiful Kashmiri thread worked jackets.
Arsalan Iqbal collections are currently available at the label's three outlets in Karachi on Zamzama and two on Tariq Road. The brand is also stocked at the multi-label menswear studio Ammar Belal Store in Xinhua Mall, Republic by Omar Farooq Store in Gulberg 3 in Lahore, A studio in Islamabad near Margalla Hills, The Ramp in Islamabad, and other multi-brand stores in Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America and India. The brand also retails an exclusive line of footwear meticulously constructed from fabric and leather at all their retail outlets.
